Best Family Photo Locations for Hollis & Brookline Families

Hollis-Brookline Families, check out these amazing locations for your next family photos session! Make your session uniquely you and pick your favorites.

From wide open fields to flower farms to the woods, Hollis & Brookline have all sorts of beautiful locations for your next family session! But first, a few thoughts:

Why does the location matter for family photos?

Location is everything when it comes to the look and feel you’re going for with your family photo session! If you want that glowy-hazy look, you’re going to need to be out in an open area. Love the classic Hollis barn look? I know a few good spots (see below!). Spend most of your free time out and about, exploring everything the local towns have to offer? We should take that into consideration! Prefer the peace and quiet of the woods? I’ve got spots for that, too.

Your home

It may not be in the shape you want it to be, but home is where you’re watching your kids’ lives unfold; it’s where they are the most comfortable and the most themselves; it’s where all your most-regular but also so-sweet memories are made. Doing a photo session in the comfort of your home (in any season!) gives you the unique chance to not only “get family photos done” but to have them represent your actual, daily lives in a beautiful, timeless way. (And yes, you will get color photos at home, too! I just love the way black & white photos make everything so timeless).

Beaver Brook

I mean, obviously. This really should have been number one, because it offers SO much variety, but hey, we can’t all be perfect. Beaver Brook offers SO much variety - pretty flowers, gorgeous golden hour light, benches, barns, fences, pergolas - even though it’s a popular spot, there are so many ways to make it unique to you and your family.

Beaver Brook sessions depend on their availability, so if you want to book a fall session there, get it on the calendar sooner rather than later!

Monson Village & Federal Hill Trails

This is my super-secret spot (shhhh!), perfect for wildflowers, peace & quiet, and pretty late-afternoon light. Monson Village also offers a big open field for more of that golden-hazy light, plus fun stone walls and old buildings. There are tons of possibilities here! No photos because the family sessions I’ve done there have been private, but believe me, it’s gorgeous!

The possibilities are endless

Need more ideas than the usual go-tos for Hollis-Brookline family photo sessions? Here are a few other ideas:

  • The Nissitissit Bridge in Brookline: I mean, could you ask for anything more quintessential New England?

  • Cider Mill Trail in Brookline: If you dig a woodsy vibe, this might be just the perfect place.

  • The playground at Hollis Social Library: Hear me out on this one! Your kids love to play there (and you love connecting with other parents) - make the family session extra fun and have it here!

  • The beach: Ok, not Hollis/Brookline, but I am 100% always down to haul out to the ocean, whether it’s your favorite spot on the NH or ME coast, or down the Cape (I have some gorgeous spots in Eastham!). Travel fees apply but they’re reasonable and 100% #WorthIt.

  • City vibes: ready to break out of the small-town mold and go for some city vibes? We can do local-to-NH cities and head to Nashua or Manchester, or if you’re feeling really adventurous, Boston is another great option.

  • Wherever you feel most like yourself: At the end of the day, your session is all about telling your story, so wherever you and your kids feel most at home, most like yourselves, that’s where we should do your session!
